Get your blog and twitter account working hand in hand by automatically sending blog posts to twitter.

Posting details of blog entries on your twitter feed may be something that you are currently manually doing, lets save some time by automating the process.
Here’s how to do it:
Step One
Sign up for a Twitterfeed account. OpenID users can login using their login details.
Step Two
Twitterfeed will ask you to enter your RSS Feed URL. There are different areas where you might be able to find this information depending on how the site was built. If you are not sure of your Blogs RSS Feed URL, post a comment to this post with your site URL and I’ll tell give you the URL you need.
Step Three
There are several advanced parameters available during the feed registering process, take a look at the settings available, most are self explanatory, leaving the default settings will do for most users.
Step Four
Publish your blog entry, then, depending on the update frequency in the advanced settings (default is every hour), you should start seeing your blog post on your twitter feed shortly.
Thing’s to note
The first sentence or two from the Blog are posted to Twitter, with this in mind, try and give the user a reason to click through.
Twitterfeed comes with a handy dashboard, once you’ve setup, started publishing and had Twitterfeed do it’s magic, login to Twitterfeed from time to time and check statistics available in the dashboard.
